Day 2: Favorite Old Testament Scripture

Genesis 19:26 "But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt."

So a little background as to why this is my favorite Old testament scripture. One day last year we had FHE at our Bishop's house and he did a spiritual thought on Lot and his wife. Angels had appeared to Lot telling him to take himself along with his wife and two daughters, and they were to flee the land lest they should be cast down into inequity. Lot being mindful of this command did as such. However, as they were journeying out of the lad Lot's wife had looked back and she turned into a pillar of salt.

I think that the great lesson to be learned here is that when we're commanded to do something, no matter how strange the request might be, we should always use our faith, and go and do, rather than questioning the prompting, or command, or calling. We're never going to be called or commanded to do something that we aren't capable of doing, and Heavenly Father will always prepare a way for us. So today's take home message is simply... go and do!
