Last Friday I went to my first blogger meet-up/conference. I was so nervous. Whenever I'm around people I don't know, in an environment completely new to me, I become the most awkward person ever. Luckily after the first 30 minutes or so I was able to calm down and be a normal person again, but for someone who is normally an extrovert among their friends, put me in a new environment and its automatic introvert.
The meet-up was held at Bevello in downtown Raleigh. It's one of the cutest little boutiques I've ever been to! I was impressed at all the hard work that went into setting up the event, and all the amazing sponsors that provided an unforgettable evening for a bunch of local bloggers.
I left the meeting with the confidence and motivation that I needed to help kick start this blog to the next level. I really have some big and exciting things that I want to do with this blog over the next year or so, and I felt like I left the event with a large portion of the knowledge that I need to get me there! Also, a big thanks to Sara Logan Photography for capturing all the details of this evening! PS. Who knew that someone who has spent zero time in a sorority would be so great at doing the "sorority squat"?
Hopefully with this blogging event under my belt, I'll be a lot more comfortable next Saturday at my next blogging event with the Southern Blog Society's NC chapter as part of their quarterly meet-up! I'm getting excited to meet even more fabulous local bloggers!
