I've already been making a list of all the basics that I'm going to need to replace in my closet this fall that I've either completely worn out from years of wear, have stretched out from two pregnancies, or they've simply been through too many toddler stains to ever be resurrected. (Which is why I only shop at Ross, Target, Forever 21, and the like, because clothes get ruined fast over here, real fast.)
Disclaimer: I don't plan on getting everything on this list, I'm not a Vain Vanessa (unless you guys think I am, then please tell me, and I'll give myself a swift slap in the right direction), but this is just an idea of the things I'm liking, and you can count on anything from this list that is going to be purchased will be done so with coupons and promo codes, cause I really hate spending more money than necessary, but I hate being naked too.
Chambray- I got this same chambray from Old Navy two years ago and I've worn it out so badly there is a hole forming at the elbow and it's three shades lighter than it was when my friend gifted it to me, I think that's reason enough to buy it again.
Flare Jeans: I know we live in a day and age where skinny jeans are the bees knees, and believe me, I love them just as much as the next girl, but there is something to be said about having one good pair of non-skinny jeans. I've been buying these dark denim favorite boyfriend jeans from American Eagle ever since I can remember. They are the most worn clothing item I own, and it's time for them to be replaced. I love how I can buy a new pair every few years and the new pair fits and feels exactly the same as the old ones.
Shoes: I'm also at that point where I haven't bought new everyday shoes for myself in a couple years. My current Toms are 3+ years and they stink from way to many days of wear. For this reason I don't wear them, but still can part with them. They're definitely going to need replacing.
Accessories: Lastly this accessories part is kind of shameful to admit. I don't have a watch that isn't a digital running watch, so this $20 one from Target is probably a must. I don't own a belt that can be worn with jeans, and the last one I did own was from Pacsun in 8th grade (back in 05'), and was black and white checkers that I wore all the way through my second year in college. I almost wish one of my roommates would have cut it on me or steered me in the right direction. The last time I purchased a purse was a Vera Bradley tote bag for school books in 9th grade, and I still use it, but it's falling apart, and I hate diaper bags, so I'm hoping to be able to add something like the bag above to my life this year. And lastly, sunglasses. I haven't owned a pair since some that I picked up at American Eagle in 10th grade, and then one of my friends broke them on me, and I haven't had a pair since. I'm reminded about how much I hate myself for not owning a pair every time I get in the car.
