2014. What a year! As I read my resolutions from last year, the only thing I can say on that front is... what a complete epic fail. My goals were to unplug every night, post 5 times a week on the blog, scriptures and family prayer every single night, and stick to a family budget. We failed miserably on all of the above. What I can say is that we tried really hard, and we did improve on all of those areas a lot. The most important thing that came out of 2014 was spiritual growth for us. While family prayer and scriptures didn't happen every night, we tried hard, and through the trials we faced, we were able to grow stronger from them, than we would have otherwise. 2014 was exhausting spiritually, emotionally, physically, and financially, but I wouldn't have changed a single second of it.
On a lighter note, I've done a round-up of the top food posts from 2014...
For 2015 I do have a lot of goals for things we hope to accomplish as a family, and then personal, and blogging goals as well:
- Derek getting a new job
- Paying off all the debt (student loans, car, etc...)
- Buy a house (a little counter productive to the last goal I realize)
- Family scriptures and prayer every night
- Attend the temple once a month
- Create and stick to a family budget (again)
- Be less impulsive about buying things
- Blog 5 days per week
- Stick to an actual blogging schedule
- Start a Youtube channel
There you have it! Maybe this year we will be a lot better at sticking to our goals than we have been in years past! Thanks again to everyone who has followed along and read this blog over the last year! Our family has appreciated all the love and support more than you will truly ever know!
