If you've gone on the internet at all in the last month you know the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale was a thing that happened. I usually steer away from Nordstrom because in my mind they're not very affordable, but this year I actually looked at all the bloggers posts and realized that they did have great prices on a lot of things. I decided to check it out for myself and actually bought three things, and my total was still under $75 (an anomaly for Nordstrom I think?). The only pair of skinny jeans I had prior to the sale was a pair I snagged for $8 at Ross and the zipper never stayed up. So I invested in some new ones and then I saw this sweater, and the shirt I'm wearing in this post and called it a day.
Derek and I were talking about my clothing choices the other night and I came to a pretty accurate conclusion about my personal style. I'm a wanna be French person. I mean, I'm French Canadian, and my ancestors came from France to Canada in the 1700s, and I think I've just channeled all that into my personal style. I realized all I ever want to wear are basic striped shirts, skinny jeans, and flats. I told Derek, "I think my personal style is like a wanna be French person...", and Derek who lived in France for two years responded with, "Uh... yeah... you're just now realizing that?" Although I think this particular outfit is saying that I need to be a mime right under the Eiffel Tower.
