My Favorite Fall Outfit

Now that it's finally cooled down in Georgia I can wear all my fall clothes without sweating to death. I've actually been wanting to photograph and put this outfit up on the blog for a couple weeks but between being sick, having other projects that took precedence, and life in general, this post kept getting pushed back further and further.

Luckily, I made a mistake in my editorial calendar this week and the post that was going to go up today, actually isn't supposed to go up until next week. That left a day during the week that needed a post, and since I needed to run a bunch of errands last night, it was the perfect opportunity to get showered and dressed to take these pictures.

Many of you know my friend Lyndsey is the owner of Winsome Jones and that I get to photograph new arrivals for her on occasion. Just so we're clear, I never actually get to keep the things I wear when we shoot together unless I... ya know... pay for them. So when we were shooting this jacket, and it was the exact piece that I had been dying to add to my closet for the last two years, I decided right then and there that it was coming home with me. Plus, it's only $38 which is pretty much cheaper than what you're going to find at Target, so there's that.

These boots were also a great find for me. During a killer sale at Payless a few weeks ago I managed to score them for only $17. Lyndsey actually got the same pair as me so we're just going to be twinners all fall in our Winsome Jones jackets and it's going to be the greatest thing ever.

  1. That jacket is so cute! I have a similar one but you got a way better deal on yours than I did on mine. Your booties are super cute! My mom is going to be jealous because she tried to shop that sale but she went on the last day and everything good was taken.

  5. I would have bought the jacket on the spot too! Fall is my favorite time of year and its been so warm these last few weeks it has made it hard to wear fall outfits but that all changed today! The temperature dropped and the heat when on, they are even calling for snow this weekend (I'm just outside Toronto), that's early even for us Canadians! xx www.celebratingthislife.ca
