Frozen Hot Chocolate

When I first moved to Salt Lake City, UT I lived in a house right off of temple square with eight other girls. It was definitely my favorite roommate situation before getting married. There were a lot of different girls aging between 18-28 and while most of us were from the US, one was from Madagascar, and the other from Hati. I loved how different and diverse our house was. There was a ton of arguing over whose turn it was to do the dishes, and who got which cabinets in the kitchen, but aside from that we all got along well.

The two roommates that I clicked with the most were my friends Lyndsey and Eva. They had both graduated high school the same year as me, which I'm sure is why we clicked so well, and they're both from Georgia, and now Lyndsey and I live only 15 minutes away from each other.

I remember Lyndsey and I would go and watch our friends play soccer on Tuesday nights, and sometimes on the weekend, and every once in a while we would stop and get a frozen hot chocolate at one of our favorite restuarants along the way. When International Delight came out with different hot chocolate flavors this holiday season, I knew it would be the perfect chance for me to pick some up at my local Kroger, and then recreate our delicious frozen hot chocolate adventures.

Ingredients:
32 oz Dark Chocolate International Delight Hot Chocolate
4 cups ice
whipped cream and chocolate syrup, for topping

Directions:
Blend the ice and the hot chocolate together in a blender. Top with whipped cream and chocolate syrup. Serve when finished.

  2. I've never heard of frozen hot chocolate but now I must try it!!! Yum! And how fun that you got to live with all those girl and you all got along so well. I met Cody when I was 15 and we got married when I was 18 so I never had the roommate experience.
