The Best Way to Wrap Christmas Presents

Gift wrapping has always been really fun for me. I remember several Christmases growing up, my grandma was really into getting movies for her VHS player, which resulted in my mom raiding the $5 movie bin at Walmart every single year. My mom never wanted to actually wrap all the movies though, so this was a duty that I proudly took on around the age of 10, and looked forward to ever since.

Now that I'm a mom, I love getting to wrap presents for my kids each year, and I must say, my skills have come a long way since those years when I was wrapping VHS tapes for my Grandmother. Since my kids are getting older, the gifts I get for my children tend to involve batteries. Remote control cars, toys that make noises, little play cameras, and more. As a mom I feel like I'm constantly running out of batteries, and my kids are constantly complaining about their toys not working. This year I decided it would be good practice to wrap an extra pack of batteries with the toys.

Energizer® has been our long time battery of choice when it comes to powering our personal electronics. Energizer®Max AA 8 Pack batteries are the #1 longest lasting MAX AA battery that powers everyday devices, and we've relied on them for years. This year though, we picked up some of the Energizer®Ultimate Lithium batteries (AA4 Pack) for our kids presents, in hopes of them lasting even longer. Energizer®Ultimate Lithium battery's safety-conscious, leak-proof design gives you confidence that your most-loved devices are protected against leaks and corrosion. There's nothing worse than buying a gift for someone you love, only to have it ruined by a faulty battery a few years down the road. Energizer®Ultimate Lithium works to protect your kid's toys for as long as they want to play with them.

Also, if you're looking for a great stocking stuffer for your husband, Energizer® Headlights are the way to go! Energizer® has the most useful range of lightweight and versatile lighting products designed especially for those tasks that require two hands.

The Best Way to Wrap Christmas Presents:
Wrapping gifts definitely takes some practice, but if you follow these steps, you'll be wrapping gifts like a pro in no time!

First, place your package in the middle of your wrapping paper. Then, take the wrapping paper and fold it over the front of the box, and tape it to your gift. This will hold the paper in place right from the beginning so that it's not sliding all over the place. Next, cut enough paper to cover the package, and then tape it down to hold it in place.

When you're ready to cut your ends, trim them down so you have about two inches of paper hanging off of each end. Then carefully fold down your corners and tape them neatly so that everything lays flat and looks smooth.

Next, pick your ribbon! This is something I've added in this year, and I LOVE the look that layering your ribbon gives you! Once your ribbon is wrapped around the back of the box and brought to the front, string your pack of Energizer®Ultimate Lithium batteries into the ribbon.

Now all you have to do is tie your bow, fluff the sides to make them look how you want, trim your edges, and you're done!

  2. I followed your instructions and in fact the packaging got pretty good. Although, I hate these scotch tape pieces so I used a double-sided adhesive tape.
