In the beginning it was hard for him to understand the motivation behind money. So I bought him a Lego Duplo set and each time he completed 10 jobs he could choose two from the box to add to his collection. This helped him have something physical for him to see as the end goal. What I especially love about him doing jobs is that in addition to the help I am getting around the house, I am seeing his confidence grow as he realizes that he can learn and do difficult things that contribute to our family. My 19 month old niece, Stevie, has a little broom and loves to help sweep.
