4 month old Jay!

Yesterday was Jay's 4 months of existence day! I really cannot believe that he is 4 months already, and I seriously cannot believe that we've made it this far already! It's absolutely crazy to think about how when Jay used to be so fussy and not sleeping well, it almost felt like we would never even make it this far. He is still sleeping at night pretty well, but not as well. He's been waking up around 3-4AM a lot lately wanting to eat, but then he goes right back to sleep instantly as soon as he is done eating. Then he'll either wake up again at 6 for the same thing, or just sleep the rest of the way until 8 o'clock. Which does stink just because he isn't sleeping 12 straight hours like he was, but it could be A LOT worse, I mean he's not fussy, and falls right back to sleep after he eats, so really, I've got nothing to complain about! However, nap time has become quite the joke lately, he used to sleep from 12-4 and now he wakes up 2-3 times in between and he will be fussy during nap time, so he needs to get over that...

Jay started sitting up on December 5th, just 2 days before he turned 4 months. We tried giving him rice cereal, he just spit it out with his tongue and didn't want anything to do with that, and avocado  so we're going to hold off on food for another month and see what happens.

He is weighing 14 pounds and has gotten so much taller, but I don't know exact numbers for sure, we don't go to the doctors again until next Wednesday.

Other than that, not too much is going on in the life of Jay. We're all leaving next Wednesday to go to NY for a week and I am beyond excited! This is going to be the first time that my mom and dad will meet Jay which is crazy! I'm pretty my mom is peeing her pants almost quite literally.

When we get back to NY we're staying in Provo for one night, and then heading up to Idaho the next day and we will stay there until Christmas night and then come back home, and then Derek has to work the next day and then when he gets out of work we are loading up the moving pods and then all of our stuff will be on it's way to North Carolina, and then after that Derek leaves in 7 days with Nathan to NC and then I leave with Jay 6 days after that! Tis the crazy season!

This year for our ward Christmas Party Derek and I were in charge of the family photo booth thing which was a lot of fun! And then last week I got called to the primary presidency and had to tell them I couldn't do it because we were moving! I was so so so so so sad! It broke my little convert heart to tel them that I couldn't do it!
