21 Books to Read this Summer

At the beginning of this year, I made it a goal for myself to read 50 books before Christmas. Then my whole dilemma about whether or not I was going to finish my Bachelors (side note, I'm not right now), was happening, and then this blog took off, and then this pregnancy happened, and well reading basically just didn't happen.

As this pregnancy progressed I found myself Googling all sorts of crazy things about potential outcomes for our baby, and our family, and essentially driving myself crazy 3+ hours a day between the time Jayvwent to bed, and I went to bed. So, about a month or so ago I decided it was time to unplug at night and just read books instead of doing who knows what on the computer.

My Summer reading list isn't very impressive, but here are the books I'm hoping to get through before our baby comes in mid-August. I realize it's pretty ambitious, but I have read almost 3 Harry Potter Books in the last week, so I'm thinking I should actually get through most of these.

Also the entire quad I realize is pretty lofty, but I actually started reading it March 22nd, and I should be done August 2nd. Reading 16 chapters a day gets it done in 110 days, and I started reading 1 chapter a day for about 3 weeks before I decided to just finish it before the baby got here, so that's why mine is taking a little longer.

And lest you think I should have read all these books already, with the exception of Harry Potter 1-6, The Book of Mormon, and The Giver, I actually haven't read most of these, I know I'm really behind the times... What else do I need to check out?

  2. Have you read the Divergent Trilogy? If not those should definitely go on your list.
