Simple 5 Ingredient Lasagna + $30 Paypal Cash Giveaway!

I'm all about easy recipes, that use little ingredients, but pack a big punch in the flavor department. This lasagna is a frequently made meal in our home, especially the vegetarian version. I made this version though, with Italian sausage last year for the first time, and it was a raging success. My husband tells me that vegetarian lasagna is in fact, not lasagna. So with the added meat, he's happy, and with that meat being Italian sausage, I'm happy.

I also love that this lasagna recipe doesn't involve cooking the noodles ahead of time, because I'm lazy. The fact that liquid from the pasta sauce cooks the noodles during the baking process is the best thing ever. If you're in the need for a quick set it and forget it weeknight meal, I reccommend this one!

We used Mezzetta pasta sauce for this recipe. I love their new line of Napa Valley Homemade Sauces. We used the caramelized onion flavor for this recipe, but you could easily change it up and use any of their great flavors for this recipe!

Also, Mezzetta is giving away a perfect pasta night kit over on their site, so head on over and check it out! While we're on the topic of giveaways, I'll be self hosting a $30 paypal cash giveaway so that you can experience all the amazing flavors of Mezzetta Napa Valley Homemade sauces. Ingredients:
6 lasagna noodles
1 cup ricotta cheese
2 cups mozzarella cheese
1 24oz jar pasta sauce
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
1lb mild Italian sausage

Directions:
Pre heat the oven to 375°. In a large skillet over medium high heat, brown the sausage, drain, and set aside.

Mix the sausage and the pasta sauce together. Then pour one cup of the sauce mixture into the bottom of a 11x7 casserole dish. Then layer 3 lasagna noodles on top, followed by 1 cup of ricotta cheese, and one cup of mozzarella cheese.

Then add another cup of the sauce mixture, followed by remaining three lasagna noodles. Spread the rest of the sauce on top of the noodles and then bake in the oven for 55 minutes. Top with the last cup of mozzarella and then bake for 5 more minutes. Serve warm.
