DIY: Pumpkin Pie Spice

Clearly there is a direct proportion to the amount of homework that I have to do, and the amount of blog posts being written. As homework level increases, procrastination increases, and blogging happens in full force. This afternoon I wanted to make some pumpkin muffins (another attempt at procrastination), but I realized that I didn't have any pumpkin pie spice. I don't know about you, but it urks me to no end when I can't make something because I don't have a spice, and then I have to go to the store and pay $4+ for a .85g container of said spice. So I looked up how to make pumpkin pie spice and was relieved to know I had all the fixings for it!

On an unrelated note. That massive thing of cinnamon shown above was a wedding gift. 1 pound of cinnamon to be exact, and we've used over half of it in two years. That's a lot of cinnamon. We need to lay off the weekly french toast night I think.

Ingredients:
4 tbsp cinnamon
4 tsp nutmeg
4 tsp ginger
3 tsp all spice

Directions:
Whisk together until well mixed and store in an airtight container. Yields about 8 tbsp worth of pumpkin pie spice.
