Barbecue Pork Chops

Sorry that it's been way too long since my last post... it's been an interesting few days to say the least, letting cooking fall into the dark, shadowy, dusty, corners of my brain. Anyways, tonight I wanted something sweet, spicy, and meaty, this met all of those requirements.

1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp paprika
2 pork chops
2 tbsp water
1 tbsp butter
1/3 cup barbecue sauce


  1. Preheat oven to 350°
  2. Mix spices together in a zip lock baggie and then add the water and then the pork chops, and then shake them up well
  3. In a skillet melt the tbsp of butter and then sear each pork chop for 1 minute on med-high heat
  4. Grease a sheet of tin foil and set the pork chops on it
  5. Pour the barbecue sauce over the pork chops and wrap them in the tin foil
  6. place foiled chops on a cookie sheet and bake for 30 minutes
