DIY Matching Game For Toddlers + $50 Visa Gift Card Giveaway!

Sometimes I get asked by sponsors to write about products in really awkward and strange ways. This post may be one of those times. I try to be really selective about the sponsorships that I accept. Just know that while it seems like I may write about anything for money over here... I have declined a $500 blog post for KY Products, and a bunch of other things... so know that I do have standards. I promise.

That being said, I made Jay a color matching game tonight with unused period pads. Why? Because we were bored, had nothing better to do, and it was cheap and easy entertainment for 15 minutes. And because seeing his face when he masterfully completes a learning activity is the best. Who even cares if the supplies to get us there are a little awkward to talk about.

While we're on this awkward topic, lets just talk about how period pads are huge, and super meh.. and eh.. and all the other words that aren't really words. That's why you should ditch the traditional period pads, and switch to Poise liners. You can even snag yourself a free sample here to try out. I'm all about the free, and anything that can save me from having to do the embarrassing walk of shame with feminine products in tow at the cash register is a win in my book.

Also, because I love you guys, and because I just made you read a blog post about DIY period pad projects, I'm hosting a giveaway for a $50 Visa gift card! Enter using the rafflecopter below. Giveaway will run from 6/17/15-6/29/15 open to all US residents.  And now unto the DIY tutorial....

Supplies:
8 unused pantiliners or period pads
4 different colors of food coloring
4 cotton swabs

Directions:
Place four drops of food coloring onto your liner. I realized afterward that red was kind of an unfortunate color to use for this. #wompwomp

Then with a clean cotton swab rub the food coloring into the liner making a circle.

Do this until you have two of each color liner

Remove the adhesive liner from each liner and then stick the liners to the wall

Then have your child match the colors together. They'll most likely have a blast just sticking/resticking the liners to the wall again and again.

  1. Lol!! Love your honesty Paige. And actually I wouldn't mind sampling their liners because I have been using Walmart's generic brand and they are just not as good!
