Blueberry Banana Acai Bowl

By now I'm sure the entire internet knows how obsessed I am with acai bowls. I've had Acai bowls for breakfast more in the last year than any other food. They're super simple to make, and you can pack so much good for you nutrients into one little bowl.

The only problem is that acai can be expensive. The frozen packets at the grocery store run about $7+ just for four packets, and you need two of those frozen packets per bowl. That means if you were having an acai bowl every morning, you could be spending upwards of $28 per week in acai.

When I was doing my grocery shopping this week I found this Acai Powder that has all the same health benefits of the frozen acai packets, but at a fraction of the cost. For just under $9 you can make 19 acai bowls using the powder instead of the packets! And it tastes just the same!

If you find yourself wondering what the big deal about acai is, it's a huge superfood. They're loaded with antioxidants, and have been seen to lower cholesterol, boost brain function, and possibly fight cancer cells. Who wouldn't want to be eating that everyday?

Ingredients:
1 large banana, sliced and frozen
1/2 cup fresh blueberries
2 tbsp frozen raspberries
2 tbsp acai powder
2 tbsp unsweetened almond milk

optional toppings:
granola
chia seeds
blueberries
coconut shavings

Directions:
Place your banana, fresh blueberries, raspberries, acai powder, and almond milk into a blender or food processor and blend until everything is smooth and well combined. Then pour everything into a bowl and top with desired toppings and enjoy!
