Honey Teriyaki Salmon

Growing up salmon was the only fish we ever really ate in my house and my dad always cooked it the same way, broiled with a honey teriyaki sauce. I'm pretty sure I haven't even really had good salmon since I moved out to Utah because clearly my dad hasn't been here to make it for me. However, I really wanted salmon for dinner tonight so I called my dad to get his recipe and it came out perfect! Derek didn't like it too much though, he said it was too healthy and then ate potato salad and milk for dinner. I guess I'll have to be more sneaky about getting him to eat healthy from now on...
Recipe From: My Dad!
Ingredients:
1/4 cup oil (I used veg oil, but my dad said olive oil is the best, but that he usually just uses veg.)
2 TBSP lemon juice
1 lb salmon fillet (I got the Atlantic salmon which is a little more expensive than the farm raised but my dad said it was better on taste and texture)
2 TBSP honey
1 1/2 tsp teriyaki sauce

Directions:
Preheat the oven to broil

In a gallon size ziplock bag, combine salmon, oil, and lemon juice

Zip it up and shake to mix it around and then set in the fridge for 30 mins

Place some water in the bottom of a broiling pan and then place the wire rack on and put the salmon on top, skin side down

Broil for 5 minutes, then flip, and then cook for 7 more minutes, then remove from oven

Mix together the honey and the teriyaki and then lightly brush this onto your salmon!

Then eat your healthy goodness!
