Toddler Friendly Chili Recipe

Derek and I love chili. More importantly, I love making chili. It was probably the first thing that I ever actually cooked, and when I did, it was for my ward's Halloween chili cook-off, and I got second place! Since having a child, I no longer make that recipe because it is super spicy, (I mean, there is 5 tbsp of chili powder in there...), and I prefer to not sizzle my son's tongue to death. I now have made this recipe our family go to one. Jay goes wild for it every time, and it has all the great flavor of chili without all the spice!

Ingredients:
1 lb lean ground beef (I use 93% lean)
1/2 cup diced onion
1 14 oz can diced tomatoes
1 14 oz can tomato sauce
2 14 oz cans mild chili beans, do not drain and rinse
1 14 oz can dark red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 14 oz can of corn, don't drain
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin
salt and pepper to taste
Shredded cheese, sour cream, and chips for optional garnish

Directions:
Brown the meat in a skillet, drain off the fat and then transfer to the crock pot. Add in all the remaining ingredients, stir, and then cook on low for 4 hours or high for 8! Serve, and enjoy!
